Shade Tree Wisdom 11/16/14

          On this eve of my 94^th natal day allow me to share a prayer I ran across in my reading.  It is ascribed to St. Francis of Assisi.

“Watch, O Lord, with those who wake,

Or watch, or weep tonight.

And give your angels charge over

Those who sleep.

Tend Your sick ones, O Lord Christ,

Rest Your weary ones,
Bless Your dying ones.

Soothe Your suffering ones.

Pity Your afflicted ones.

In the Name of Jesus we pray.

Amen.

         With that nighttime prayer rest refreshed under His care.
