In his letter to the church St. James writes
“And pray for one another
That you may be healed”
James 5,16
He puts his finger on a weak spot in
many lives. This praying for the other, friend or foe, is a task we often take
lightly or forget altogether.
I dare to ask, does your prayer life
contain others, either friend or foe, in your list of people you regularly, and fervently, pray for?
St. James ads something else.He writes
first,
“And confess your sins to one another, that
You may be healed.”
That ads an important demission to his
words, does it not.
We do well to listen to this venerable Church Father, St. James.
