We Simply can’t get too much of God. His love, His constant care, and the salvation He provided, fully and
completely, when He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer, die, and rise again to
save us. The main and central action is always GOD, Who He is, what He is
doing, and what He has done for us. And Jesus is central to that action.
But humans forget that Their religion is
“Jesus and good works,” or being good, or doing my best. We get in the way.
So the Book of Hebrews comes along to set our focus where it belongs, on what Jesus has done for us, and what that all means for our life. The end of chapter 4 gives us this from the Living Bible translation: “But Jesus the Son of God is our great High Priest who has gone to heaven itself to help us; therefore let us never stop trusting Him. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, since He had the same temptations we do, though He never once gave in to them and sinned. So let us come boldly to the very throne of God and stay there to his receive and to find grace to help us in or time of need.” Hebrews 4, 14-16 (LB.
The
word that seems to jump out when we speak here of prayer is “BOLDLY” bring your
needs, your cares, your concerns – even the ones that seem too trivial to mention in prayer.
The word Boldly encourages us to pray,
no matter how small we think the ,matter is. The Holy Father in heaven Is interested,
for He did say, “Cast all your care on Him, for He careth for you.”
So please keep the word in mind, pray boldly. Always, With blessing.
