We enter the Advent season, a time the
Church prepares for the coming of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Babe of
Bethlehem. Isaiah had predicted His coming, remember his prophecy?
“The people who sat in
Darkness have seen
A great light; those who
Dwelt in deep darkness,
On them hath
The light shined.”
Isaiah 9,2
The season of Advent is then a time in which this light grows brighter till the Christ is born. Advent is meant as a time the church prepares its heart again for this birth. It’s a wonderful time, if properly used by us.
