Shade Tree Wisdom 2/8/2016 Yesterday most of the nation was watching super bowl 50. Denver won, the underdog. I’m glad they did. Meanwhile the Church was quietly observing another event, the Transfiguration of our Lord. Out of that event came this word. “While He was yet Speaking behold A great cloud overshadowed them and a voice From the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, hear Him.” Matthew 17,5. That even endures for all time, because it showed our Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior from sin. And the command is apt. “Hear Him”. He speaks the Word of eternal life. What better word can we have than that we are saved from our sin and given life eternal. Wean listen to no better advice than just that, “Hear Him”. Is this part of your daily life too, that you always draw near to “Hear Him” May God bless the hearing. GPD 2/8/16
