Today, November 11th, is
veterans day, established by congressional vote The verse I propose here deals with
a different life-giving, but it does keep in mind the many sacrifices made for
all of us to keep our world free. Jesus said to His disciples:
“Greater love has no
Man than this,
That someone
Lays down His life
For His friends.
John 15,13
In
those few words Jesus explains His sacrifice for us all. Of course, His sacrifice
led to paying for the wins of everyone. The sacrifice of so many veterans
simply meant they set us free to live in safety and contentment. For that we
honor and thank them. But the sacrifice Jesus made paid for ms sins and gives
me eternal life. God’s greatest gift for sinners. That is the news we gladly
share with others.
