Shade Tree Wisdom 7/11/15

“Have mercy when I .

Come defiled;

”ave mercy when IForgive, lift up, restore

Your child”.

          A hymn verse or even the part of one contains eternal truth. It speaks directly, sharply to the point. And the point is that we are sinners, born that way, can’t help it, till we are rescued by the workings of Jesus, our Savior, who died on the cross to win the battle.

          And that is what the bit of verse refers to.

“Have mercy when I

Come, defiled;

Forgive, lift up, restore

Your child.”

          And the Lord hears, and answers. Thank His holy name.
