Shade Tree Wisdom 7/31/15

I wonder whether we often forget this wise counsel St. Paul offers to the Philippians:

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is pure, whatever is just, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, If there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
Philippians 4,8.

In our daily life, our speech, or our thought, do we really keep such things in mind?  St. Paul really sets things on a higher level, does he not?

He seems to expect that anyone who is a Christian will keep his thought level constructive, not destructive.  Is that really expecting too much?

I send this your way to think about.
