In some of his remarks of advice to
the Christians at Rome St. Paul said:
“I want you to be wise
as to what is good
and innocent as to what is evil”.
Romans 16,22
That’s a neat way of saying, ‘don’t be
sinning all the time’, or’ don’t join those who do.’
St, Paul is simply reminding them, and us in these days, to be careful what you do, and make sure others
know who you are, Christ’s people.
The company we keep often helps shape
our character and our outlook on life. Be true now, are you still offended when
you daily hear men and women swear rather freely? See?
So just imagine you are saying goodbye
to St. Paul, probably for the last time, and he gives you these words if advice.
Just suppose it happens, will you listen?
